1.\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 Could you introduce yourself and tell us a little about where you come from?<\/strong><\/p>\n

Buongiorno! My name is Giovanni. I\u2019m a 20-year-old from Bergamo, an historic city near Milan that draws visitors from all over the world to enjoy our culture and food, especially Casoncelli and Polenta. Just like Eger, we also take great pride in our excellent wine. Between the familiar vineyards and the beautiful, colorful hills, arriving in Eger truly felt like a home away from home.<\/p>\n

2.\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 What are you studying in Italy, and why did you choose this field?<\/strong><\/p>\n

I\u2019m studying Linguistic and Cultural Mediation at the University of Milan to perfect my English and German. I’m training to become a linguistic mediator\u2014a professional who translates not just words, but the cultural and semantic meaning behind them. After my bachelor’s, I plan to pursue a master\u2019s degree in geography.<\/p>\n

3.\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 Why did you decide to take part in an Erasmus+ traineeship?<\/strong><\/p>\n

I decided to take part in an Erasmus+ traineeship because I\u2019ve always wanted to challenge myself, live abroad for a while, and see how well I can manage on my own. Three years ago, during my last year of high school, I spent a month in Sweden on another Erasmus program. I loved the experience so much that I knew right away I wanted to do it again at university.<\/p>\n

4.\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 Why did you choose Hungary and our school for your traineeship?<\/strong><\/p>\n

I chose Hungary because I\u2019ve visited three times as a tourist and have always loved it here. It\u2019s a truly beautiful country with incredibly welcoming people. While looking for a traineeship abroad, I came across the EU portal, and your school\u2019s offer immediately stood out to me. I love working with children and enjoy taking on new challenges, so I knew this was an opportunity I couldn’t miss.<\/p>\n

5.\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 What were your first impressions of our school and the students?<\/strong><\/p>\n

Your school has been a wonderful surprise, starting with the fact that you can admire Eger’s beautiful historic center right from the windows. The students were incredibly kind and welcoming to me right from the start. They were so curious and open, which really surprised me given the different age groups. I\u2019ve felt completely accepted and appreciated since day one. Also, in the English lessons I\u2019ve joined, I immediately noticed a very high level of proficiency from both the teachers and the students.<\/p>\n

6.\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 What activities and tasks are you involved in during your traineeship?<\/strong><\/p>\n

I never get bored here! Every day I work with students of different ages, from the little ones in first grade right up to the teenagers in eighth grade. It\u2019s a constant challenge that helps me learn new things and improve my interpersonal skills. I\u2019ve been taking part in English, PE, and Art classes, and I’ve even had the chance to attend a couple of extracurricular activities.<\/p>\n

7.\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 What differences have you noticed between schools in Italy and Hungary?<\/strong><\/p>\n

Schools in Hungary are organized very differently. In Italy, we start primary school at age 6, and it lasts for five years. Then we have three years of middle school, followed by five years of high school. There are two things here that I really wish we had in Italy. First, the 5-day school week. Most Italian middle and high schools run on a 6-day schedule, and going to school on Saturdays isn’t exactly fun! Second, I really appreciate the 45-minute lessons. In Italy, classes last a full hour, and we only get one 10-minute break mid-morning\u2014after three whole hours of back-to-back lessons! Without regular breaks, it can be really hard to stay focused. Because of this, I\u2019ve noticed that Hungarian students tend to be much more attentive and active in class.<\/p>\n

8.\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 What have you enjoyed most about working with our students so far?<\/strong><\/p>\n

I\u2019ve really enjoyed the variety of activities I\u2019ve been doing. These first two weeks have completely flown by, and the days with the students are so packed. I absolutely love that I\u2019m already building a bond with many of them. My goal is to get to know as many students as possible, because just being around them is incredibly rewarding.<\/p>\n

9.\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 What would you like to learn or improve during your time at our school?<\/strong><\/p>\n

I would really love to learn how to interact better to capture the students’ attention during lessons and not be boring. I also want to gain more confidence in addressing a whole class. The language barrier is definitely an obstacle, but it\u2019s not insurmountable. And, of course, I would absolutely love to learn a few words in Hungarian!<\/p>\n

10.\u00a0 What message would you like to share with our students about Erasmus+, travelling, and learning about other cultures?<\/strong><\/p>\n

My recommendation to all the students reading this interview is to just go for it! You only live once, and living with regrets is the worst thing imaginable. If an opportunity like an Erasmus program comes your way, take it without thinking twice. Traveling and connecting with different realities opens your mind, teaches you so much, and is the strongest weapon against any form of oppression and mental censorship. You can even travel without leaving your room: reading a book, watching a YouTube video, or a good documentary is a great first step for those who can’t physically travel yet. But for those who can, traveling is the greatest investment you can make in yourself to grow and broaden your horizons.<\/p>\n

Ez egy Mil\u00e1n\u00f3 k\u00f6zel\u00e9ben tal\u00e1lhat\u00f3 t\u00f6rt\u00e9nelmi v\u00e1ros, amely a vil\u00e1g minden t\u00e1j\u00e1r\u00f3l vonzza a l\u00e1togat\u00f3kat, akik szeretn\u00e9k megismerni kult\u00far\u00e1nkat \u00e9s gasztron\u00f3mi\u00e1nkat, k\u00fcl\u00f6n\u00f6sen a casoncellit \u00e9s a polent\u00e1t. 2. Mit tanulsz Olaszorsz\u00e1gban, \u00e9s mi\u00e9rt ezt a ter\u00fcletet v\u00e1lasztottad?<\/strong><\/p>\n

Nyelvi \u00e9s kultur\u00e1lis medi\u00e1ci\u00f3t tanulok a Mil\u00e1n\u00f3i Egyetemen, hogy t\u00f6k\u00e9letes\u00edtsem az angol- \u00e9s n\u00e9mettud\u00e1somat. Nyelvi medi\u00e1tornak k\u00e9sz\u00fcl\u00f6k, vagyis olyan szakembernek, aki nem csup\u00e1n a szavakat ford\u00edtja le, hanem a m\u00f6g\u00f6tt\u00fck rejl\u0151 kultur\u00e1lis \u00e9s jelent\u00e9sbeli tartalmakat is k\u00f6zvet\u00edti. Az alapk\u00e9pz\u00e9s befejez\u00e9se ut\u00e1n f\u00f6ldrajzb\u00f3l szeretn\u00e9k mesterdiplom\u00e1t szerezni.<\/p>\n

3. Mi\u00e9rt d\u00f6nt\u00f6tt\u00e9l \u00fagy, hogy r\u00e9szt veszel egy Erasmus+ szakmai gyakorlaton?<\/strong><\/p>\n

Az\u00e9rt d\u00f6nt\u00f6ttem az Erasmus+ szakmai gyakorlat mellett, mert mindig is szerettem volna pr\u00f3b\u00e1ra tenni magam, egy ideig k\u00fclf\u00f6ld\u00f6n \u00e9lni, \u00e9s megtapasztalni, mennyire boldogulok \u00f6n\u00e1ll\u00f3an. H\u00e1rom \u00e9vvel ezel\u0151tt, a k\u00f6z\u00e9piskola utols\u00f3 \u00e9v\u00e9ben egy m\u00e1sik Erasmus program keret\u00e9ben egy h\u00f3napot t\u00f6lt\u00f6ttem Sv\u00e9dorsz\u00e1gban. Annyira szerettem ezt az \u00e9lm\u00e9nyt, hogy r\u00f6gt\u00f6n tudtam: az egyetemi \u00e9veim alatt is szeretn\u00e9m megism\u00e9telni.<\/p>\n

4. Mi\u00e9rt Magyarorsz\u00e1got \u00e9s a mi iskol\u00e1nkat v\u00e1lasztottad a szakmai gyakorlatod helysz\u00edn\u00e9\u00fcl?<\/strong><\/p>\n

Az\u00e9rt v\u00e1lasztottam Magyarorsz\u00e1got, mert kor\u00e1bban m\u00e1r h\u00e1romszor j\u00e1rtam itt turistak\u00e9nt, \u00e9s mindig nagyon szerettem itt lenni. Igaz\u00e1n gy\u00f6ny\u00f6r\u0171 orsz\u00e1g, hihetetlen\u00fcl vend\u00e9gszeret\u0151 emberekkel. Amikor k\u00fclf\u00f6ldi szakmai gyakorlati lehet\u0151s\u00e9get kerestem, r\u00e1tal\u00e1ltam az Eur\u00f3pai Uni\u00f3 port\u00e1lj\u00e1ra, ahol azonnal felkeltette a figyelmemet az iskol\u00e1tok aj\u00e1nlata. Nagyon szeretek gyerekekkel dolgozni, \u00e9s sz\u00edvesen v\u00e1llalok \u00faj kih\u00edv\u00e1sokat, ez\u00e9rt r\u00f6gt\u00f6n tudtam, hogy ezt a lehet\u0151s\u00e9get nem hagyhatom ki.<\/p>\n

5. Mik voltak az els\u0151 benyom\u00e1said az iskol\u00e1nkr\u00f3l \u00e9s a di\u00e1kokr\u00f3l?<\/strong><\/p>\n

Az iskol\u00e1tok igaz\u00e1n kellemes meglepet\u00e9s volt sz\u00e1momra, m\u00e1r csak az\u00e9rt is, mert az ablakokb\u00f3l Eger gy\u00f6ny\u00f6r\u0171 t\u00f6rt\u00e9nelmi belv\u00e1ros\u00e1ra ny\u00edlik kil\u00e1t\u00e1s. A di\u00e1kok m\u00e1r az els\u0151 pillanatt\u00f3l kezdve hihetetlen\u00fcl kedvesek \u00e9s bar\u00e1ts\u00e1gosak voltak velem. Nagyon k\u00edv\u00e1ncsiak \u00e9s nyitottak, ami a k\u00fcl\u00f6nb\u00f6z\u0151 koroszt\u00e1lyokat l\u00e1tva k\u00fcl\u00f6n\u00f6sen meglepett. Az els\u0151 napt\u00f3l kezdve \u00fagy \u00e9rzem, hogy teljesen befogadtak \u00e9s megbecs\u00fclnek. Azokon az angol\u00f3r\u00e1kon pedig, amelyeken eddig r\u00e9szt vettem, r\u00f6gt\u00f6n felt\u0171nt a tan\u00e1rok \u00e9s a di\u00e1kok magas szint\u0171 nyelvtud\u00e1sa.<\/p>\n

6. Milyen tev\u00e9kenys\u00e9gekben \u00e9s feladatokban veszel r\u00e9szt a szakmai gyakorlatod sor\u00e1n?<\/strong><\/p>\n

Itt sosem unatkozom! Mindennap k\u00fcl\u00f6nb\u00f6z\u0151 koroszt\u00e1ly\u00fa di\u00e1kokkal dolgozom, az els\u0151s kisgyerekekt\u0151l eg\u00e9szen a nyolcadikos kamaszokig. Ez folyamatos kih\u00edv\u00e1st jelent, ugyanakkor rengeteg \u00faj dolgot tanulok, \u00e9s fejl\u0151dnek a t\u00e1rsas \u00e9s kommunik\u00e1ci\u00f3s k\u00e9szs\u00e9geim is. R\u00e9szt veszek angol-, testnevel\u00e9s- \u00e9s rajz\u00f3r\u00e1kon, s\u0151t n\u00e9h\u00e1ny tan\u00f3r\u00e1n k\u00edv\u00fcli foglalkoz\u00e1sba is volt m\u00e1r lehet\u0151s\u00e9gem bekapcsol\u00f3dni.<\/p>\n

7. Milyen k\u00fcl\u00f6nbs\u00e9geket vett\u00e9l \u00e9szre az olasz \u00e9s a magyar iskol\u00e1k k\u00f6z\u00f6tt?<\/strong><\/p>\n

A magyar iskolarendszer eg\u00e9szen m\u00e1sk\u00e9ppen \u00e9p\u00fcl fel. Olaszorsz\u00e1gban hat\u00e9vesen kezdj\u00fck az \u00e1ltal\u00e1nos iskol\u00e1t, amely \u00f6t \u00e9vig tart. Ezt h\u00e1rom \u00e9v k\u00f6z\u00e9piskola, majd \u00f6t \u00e9v fels\u0151 k\u00f6z\u00e9piskola k\u00f6veti.<\/p>\n

K\u00e9t olyan dolgot is tapasztaltam itt, amit nagyon sz\u00edvesen l\u00e1tn\u00e9k Olaszorsz\u00e1gban is. Az egyik az \u00f6tnapos tan\u00edt\u00e1si h\u00e9t. A legt\u00f6bb olasz k\u00f6z\u00e9piskol\u00e1ban ugyanis hatnapos tan\u00edt\u00e1si h\u00e9t van, \u00e9s szombaton iskol\u00e1ba j\u00e1rni nem \u00e9ppen sz\u00f3rakoztat\u00f3! A m\u00e1sik, amit nagyon \u00e9rt\u00e9kelek, a 45 perces tan\u00f3ra. Olaszorsz\u00e1gban az \u00f3r\u00e1k 60 percesek, \u00e9s d\u00e9lel\u0151tt mind\u00f6ssze egyetlen 10 perces sz\u00fcnet\u00fcnk van \u2013 h\u00e1rom egym\u00e1st k\u00f6vet\u0151 tan\u00f3ra ut\u00e1n! Rendszeres sz\u00fcnetek n\u00e9lk\u00fcl nagyon neh\u00e9z lehet fenntartani a figyelmet. Tal\u00e1n ennek is k\u00f6sz\u00f6nhet\u0151, hogy azt tapasztalom: a magyar di\u00e1kok \u00e1ltal\u00e1ban nagyon figyelmesek \u00e9s akt\u00edvak az \u00f3r\u00e1kon.<\/p>\n

8. Mit \u00e9lvezt\u00e9l eddig a legjobban a di\u00e1kjainkkal val\u00f3 k\u00f6z\u00f6s munka sor\u00e1n?<\/strong><\/p>\n

Nagyon \u00e9lvezem, hogy ennyif\u00e9le tev\u00e9kenys\u00e9gben vehetek r\u00e9szt. Ez az els\u0151 k\u00e9t h\u00e9t szinte elrep\u00fclt, a di\u00e1kokkal t\u00f6lt\u00f6tt napjaim pedig mindig esem\u00e9nyd\u00fasak. K\u00fcl\u00f6n\u00f6sen j\u00f3 \u00e9rz\u00e9s, hogy sokukkal m\u00e1r most kezd kialakulni egyfajta szem\u00e9lyes kapcsolat. Az a c\u00e9lom, hogy min\u00e9l t\u00f6bb di\u00e1kot megismerjek, mert m\u00e1r \u00f6nmag\u00e1ban az is rengeteget ad nekem, hogy k\u00f6z\u00f6tt\u00fck lehetek.<\/p>\n

9. Mit szeretn\u00e9l megtanulni vagy miben szeretn\u00e9l fejl\u0151dni az iskol\u00e1nkban t\u00f6lt\u00f6tt id\u0151 alatt?<\/strong><\/p>\n

Nagyon szeretn\u00e9m megtanulni, hogyan tudok m\u00e9g jobban kapcsolatot teremteni a di\u00e1kokkal, hogyan kelthetem fel \u00e9s tarthatom fenn a figyelm\u00fcket az \u00f3r\u00e1kon \u00fagy, hogy k\u00f6zben ne v\u00e1ljak unalmass\u00e1. Abban is szeretn\u00e9k magabiztosabb\u00e1 v\u00e1lni, hogy egy eg\u00e9sz oszt\u00e1ly el\u0151tt besz\u00e9ljek. A nyelvi akad\u00e1ly term\u00e9szetesen neh\u00e9zs\u00e9get jelent, de egy\u00e1ltal\u00e1n nem lek\u00fczdhetetlen. \u00c9s persze nagyon szeretn\u00e9k megtanulni n\u00e9h\u00e1ny sz\u00f3t magyarul is!<\/p>\n

10. Mit \u00fczenn\u00e9l a di\u00e1kjainknak az Erasmus+ programr\u00f3l, az utaz\u00e1sr\u00f3l \u00e9s m\u00e1s kult\u00far\u00e1k megismer\u00e9s\u00e9r\u0151l?<\/strong><\/p>\n

Azt tan\u00e1csolom minden di\u00e1knak, aki ezt az interj\u00fat olvassa, hogy egyszer\u0171en v\u00e1gjon bele! Csak egyszer \u00e9l\u00fcnk, \u00e9s kev\u00e9s rosszabb dolog van ann\u00e1l, mint amikor k\u00e9s\u0151bb megb\u00e1njuk, hogy kihagytunk egy lehet\u0151s\u00e9get. Ha olyan lehet\u0151s\u00e9g ad\u00f3dik el\u0151tted, mint egy Erasmus program, \u00e9lj vele b\u00e1tran!<\/p>\n
